          The Robison Textile Company was founded in the early 1900s in New York City to support the city's growing fashion industry. It merged with the Anton Yarn Company in 1959 to became the largest supplier of embroidery thread in the U.S. Robison-Anton was acquired by American & Efird, headquartered in North Carolina, in 2005. It continues to be the only company that processes and dyes imported filament rayon and polyester in one factory and one dye house for optimum control.

          YLI supplies a wide range of yarn and threads for the quilting industry. Its Pearl Crown Rayon is one of the most versatile decorative threads on the market.
