SEWING MACHINES have obviously changed tremendously since the middle of the 19th century when they first appeared. But clearly the most explosive changes have come with the growth of the personal computer market. At Sally Cheney's Superstore we sell two top brands – Baby Lock and Pfaff .  These machines make every project easier, with the various models offering features that the last generation of sewers could only dream of.

In 1964, after their employer rejected their idea for a "baby" serger for home sewers that could produce an overlock stitch, a group of engineers from Tokyo Juki founded Baby Lock. The company is still known for its innovations, including its Jet-Air Threading technology for its sergers. All of its products are built with the highest quality standards, always informed by "the love of sewing."

Nancy Zieman, host of the PBS program "Sewing with Nancy" and founder of Nancy's Notions, is Baby Lock's spokesperson. Eleanor Burns, creator and host of the PBS series "Quilt in a Day," is the spokesperson for Baby Lock's growing series of quilting machines, the Quilter's Dream Series.

The Pfaff company was founded by Georg Michael Pfaff in 1862 in Kaiserslautern, Germany, and has produced quality commercial and consumer machines continuously ever since – nearly a century and a half.  We carry models from the most basic to the extraordinary new Creative Vision embroidery machine, which features the largest embroidery area on the market.
